School Year Programs: Camp Fire on Wheels
This is a six week session course that our members attend during their Kids Care Program. This program educates the children skills that deal with personal safety, being a responsible family member, handling peer pressure, and caring for young children.
- I’m Safe and Sure! - Kindergartners and First Graders interact through lessons of personal safety and responsible citizenship through good decision making. It helps children avoid being victims of crimes and other potentially harmful situations.
- I Can Do It! - This program is designed to prepare our Second and Third graders to be a contributing family member. This is not a self-care course; this is a self-help course that reinforces the skills that aid the children to becoming a more responsible family member, to cope with different life situations, sometimes independent of parental or adult situations.
- I’m Peer Proof! - Through interactive lessons, Fourth, Fifth and Six graders are learning responsibility for their own words and actions. They come to understand that they control much of their own lives through the choices they make and the consequences that follow.
